At the Faculty of Engineering of the Eastern Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl, students of the Department of Automation of Electrotechnical and Mechatronic Complexes had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the laboratories that were equipped as part of the project “Economic Support of Eastern Ukraine”, namely:

• the electromechatronics laboratory (ElectromechatronicsLab), in which students had the opportunity to view a modern stand for studying the mechanical and dynamic characteristics of an AC electric drive based on FESTO equipment; special attention was drawn to the method of forming the load for the machine under study with the help of a servo drive;

• the laboratory of electric energy (EnergyLab), in which students were presented with stands for researching power supply systems in smart houses;

• the laboratory of automation and computer technologies (FabLab), in which students got acquainted with physical models and pressure and level control systems in the hydraulic system based on modern automation tools using PLCs and operator panels. The stands of digital prototyping and production, as well as the work of 3D printers from various manufacturers and a machine for laser cutting of wood, showed the greatest interest. At the end of the excursion, all students received gifts.
