Description of the educational and professional program

The educational and professional program “Engineering of Intellectual Electrical and Mechatronic Complexes” of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty 141 “Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics” was developed in 2021 at the Department of Automation of Electrical and Mechatronic Complexes. Of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.

The purpose of the educational program is to fundamentally train professionals capable of solving complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of electrical engineering, and to carry out professional activities in the specialty 141 – Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics and related fields by developing and improving intelligent control systems. based on modern modeling technologies, control methods in complex systems using modern software.

The uniqueness of this educational program is to provide training that can comprehensively solve problems in the field of electrical engineering using intelligent automation and taking into account the national interests of industries such as mining, metallurgy, transport, and utilities and utilities of Ukraine. Applicants in higher education have the opportunity to gain knowledge in related fields, solve specialized problems and practical problems in the design of electrical and mechatronics using modern software three-dimensional modeling and automation and other educational components through the possibility of forming a flexible individual learning trajectory and certification program “Engineering design of electrical and mechatronic systems”.

The interests of employers are taken into account in the aspect of the desire to train a specialist with developed professional competencies who could demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for professional activities in the field of electrical engineering: electrical and electromechanical services of enterprises, research and design institutions; enterprises of the electric power industry, including the fuel and energy complex; systems for automation of production, transmission, distribution and conversion of electricity at power plants, power grids and systems and their engineering; electrotechnical equipment, electromechanical and switching equipment, electromechanical, electrotechnical complexes, and intelligent control systems.

Employers take an active part in the educational process, improving the material and technical base, conducting undergraduate practice in their organizations and employment of graduates.

We invite all stakeholders (higher education seekers, graduates, employers, academics, Igor Sikorsky KPI staff, representatives of other stakeholder groups) to leave feedback, wishes and suggestions for improving the educational program.
