A group of students from the IEE went on an excursion to a solar power plant. During the tour, they were shown how solar panels work, which convert solar energy into electricity. The guide told them about the principles of photovoltaic cells, the processes of inverting direct current into alternating current, as well as energy storage systems.
The students were able to see the central control room, where the entire station is monitored. The guide also explained how the power plant’s operation is optimized depending on weather conditions and how important it is to ensure regular maintenance of the panels to maximize efficiency.
At the end of the tour, the students visited an information center where they learned about the prospects for solar energy development in the world and in their country. They learned about the environmental benefits of using renewable energy sources and discussed possible career paths in this field. The tour aroused great interest among the students and inspired them to further study renewable energy resources.
