And 36 years later, remembering the horrific events at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the enemy still resorted to nuclear terror, capturing first Chernobyl, then Energodar, and now declaring the reality of the risk of nuclear war.

Last year, the KPI immortalized the feat of the hero-liquidator of the Chernobyl accident, KPI graduate Oleksandr Lelechenko.

In the first hours of the Chernobyl accident, Oleksandr Hryhorovych was called to the station, where he organized urgent work to prevent the explosion of the second-stage turbogenerator and shut off the hydrogen supply himself, preventing a powerful explosion.
