We are happy to announce the successful defense of the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by our graduate Lyubovya Romanivna Marchuk!

On August 27, 2024, the dissertation defense was held on the topic “Adaptive mechatronic system of shock destruction of rocks” in specialty 141 – Electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics.

In her work, Lyubov Romanivna proposed an innovative approach to increasing the efficiency of mineral extraction by developing an adaptive mechatronic system for impact destruction of rocks. The research included the creation of mathematical models, computer modeling and the development of an adaptive control system.

The scientific novelty of the work consists in the development of new methods of adaptive control of the impact device, taking into account the changing characteristics of the working environment. The practical significance of the research results is confirmed by their potential to increase the efficiency of extraction of critical metals such as lithium, cobalt and rare earth elements.

The defense was successful, and the board voted unanimously to award Marchuk Lyubov Romanivna the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
