Members of the “Ektoransport” group got acquainted with the Toyota Mirai electric car today. This is a hydrogen hybrid car on fuel cells. It is located as an educational stand at the Department of Automation of Electrotechnical and Mechatronic Complexes.
Associate Professor of the AEMC Department Listovshchik Leonid Kostyantynovich interestingly talked about the construction of hydrogen cars, about the peculiarities of their operation. The topics of hydrogen production, its transportation and storage were touched upon.
Next, the members of the group looked at the Mirai under the hood. It was noted that under the hood it actually does not differ from an electric car with lithium batteries. They also sat in the cabin and even turned on the electric car for a drive. We looked at the remaining power reserve and other nuances of the dashboard.
