The head of the department, Professor Serhiy Boychenko, took part in the II Kyiv International Competition of Student Energy-Saving Projects in the Field of Renewable Energy “Energy-Independent Green State”

On March 9, the Kyiv Small Academy of Sciences, together with the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” and the Department of Automation of Electrical and Mechatronic Complexes of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, held the II Kyiv International Competition of Student Energy-Saving Projects in the Field of Renewable Energy “Energy-Independent Green State” for participants from Ukraine, Poland, Latvia and the Czech Republic.

The competition featured 76 projects from Ukraine and 12 projects from Poland, Latvia and the Czech Republic. A total of 83 participants took part. All contestants demonstrated a high level of technology and presentation skills. The winners of the international part will be announced later. According to the results of the jury’s assessment, the winners from Ukraine were:

🥇Gold Medal

  • Project: Development of a low-power power supply design based on a piezoelectric shoe insole, Voytovych Yelizaveta Volodymyrivna (Ukrainian Physics and Mathematics Lyceum of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv)

🥈Silver Medal

  • Project: Hydrogen in the energy system of Ukraine, Marchenko Kyryl Kostyantynovich (Lyceum No. 89 named after Hryhoriy Tsekhmistrenko, Pechersk district of Kyiv)
  • Project: Induction generator on windmills, Znakovsky Oleksiy (Polytechnic Lyceum of NTUU “KPI” of Kyiv)
  • Project: EcoSmart Home: energy-efficient house with a geothermal heat pump, Syvokon Anastasia Yevgenivna (Polytechnic Lyceum of NTUU “KPI” of Kyiv)

🥉Bronze Medal:

  • Project: Board eco-game “The Kid and the Energy Journey” as a means of environmental education for children, Polyvyany Vladyslav Mykolayovych (Higher Vocational School No. 7 of Kremenchuk, Poltava region)
  • Project: Eco-robot for performing municipal and other tasks, Semyk Ivan Mykolayovych (KZP(PT)O “Kyiv Professional College with Enhanced Military and Physical Training”)
  • Project: Eco-robot researcher, Degtyarenko Ivan Oleksandrovych (KZP(PT)O “Kyiv Professional College with Enhanced Military and Physical Training”)

The projects of young scientists and engineers were evaluated by professional members of the jury:

  • Valentyn Protopopov, Head of the Security and Defense Department, Kyiv State Academy of Sciences
  • Andriy Rodionov, Head of the Aerospace Security and Defense Technologies Section. Remotely Controlled Devices, Department of Security and Defense, Kyiv State Academy of Sciences; student of the Department of Military Training of the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”

During the competition within the framework of the National Competition of Computer Projects INFOMATRIX UKRAINE 2025, held by the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”, participants were selected who were granted the right to represent Ukraine in the World Final of the International Competition of Computer Projects INFOMATRIX 2025 on May 22-26 in the city of Bucharest, Romania, namely:

Category Robot Labyrinth:
🏆 Ivan Oleksandrovych Degtyarenko, KZP(PT)O “Kyiv Professional College with Enhanced Military and Physical Training”, full member of the Department of Security and Defense of the Kyiv State Academy of Sciences

The projects were qualified for participation in the World Final by the decision of the jury in accordance with the regulations on the National Competition, as certified by Valentyn PROTOPOPOV, Director for Organization and Conduct of the INFOMATRIX Competition in Ukraine.
