KPI students planted saplings in the square on Polytechnic Street.
Student volunteers have been actively landscaping the KPI for more than a year. Last fall, more than five hundred maples, birches and spruces were planted, and this year the number of trees will grow to eight hundred.
The square will soon be transformed into a new student park with benches, alleys and street lighting.
