📢 133 years since the birth of Igor Sikorsky
On this day, May 25, 1889, Igor Sikorsky was born – a world-famous KPI student, a brilliant aircraft designer, tireless inventor and desperate pilot who conquered Europe and the United States.
At the age of 20, while studying at KPI, he designed and built his first aircraft. It was at Kyiv Polytechnic that he began building his first helicopter.
“I take off my hat in front of the alma mater, who prepared me to conquer the sky,” said Igor Ivanovich.
